1000 Words on Conversations with Friends

I read Conversations with Friends (CWF) the summer between my third and fourth year of university. It’s the time period I refer to, now comically but then tragically, as “The Summer I Lost My Mind”.

I had decided to stay on with my campus job for the summer, take a few courses, and see what life in my university city was like when three-quarters of its population fled for four months.

I found out, it’s unbearably hot and insufferably quiet.
